Bill Howarth Women's Lifeguard Invitational
video is live!
For generations, ocean lifeguards have been watching over the millions of summer vacationers that visit our shores. This year, the world renowned South Jersey beaches will be center stage. South Jersey is home to some of the oldest patrols in the United States. Each year, the best lifeguards from each patrol compete and hone their skills in competitions throughout the summer. Follow them as they ultimately seek to be crowned South Jersey Champion.
The South Jersey Championship first came to fruition in 1928. Three races decide the patrols and competitors’ fate – a one and a half mile doubles rowing competition, a half-mile ocean swim, followed by a 1000 foot singles rowing competition. Many exciting races lead up to this challenge, but who will be crowned Champion?
Watch as mother nature rolls her dice and creates a challenging twist to the grueling competition.
